Role: Non-Executive Director, Strategic Chief Technology Officer – Policy
Julian Turner is an award-winning Chartered Engineer and C-level technology leader with more than 20 years’ experience delivering advanced engineering programmes, technology commercialisation and industrial scale-up across high growth technology sectors.
He served for 16 years as Chief Executive Officer of Westfield Technology Group, where he led the development of pioneering automotive and passenger mobility technologies, including electric autonomous automotive road vehicles, such airport passenger shuttles. During his tenure the company gained international recognition for innovation, including the Global Autocar Innovation Award.
His earlier engineering career includes roles with internationally recognised organisations including Mott MacDonald, The Boeing Company, British Midland and BAE Systems, where he developed extensive experience in systems engineering, programme delivery and safety critical technology environments.
Julian has also served as Chief Technology Officer at Centaur Robotics, leading engineering development, product certification and industrial deployment planning for advanced mobility technologies.
Within Sisura Innovation Ltd, Julian provides board level oversight of technology architecture, engineering governance and technology deployment strategy, supporting the transition of innovation programmes from feasibility and prototype development through to scalable industrial and commercial deployment, in UK, EU, Globally.
